FAQ for our Vet Clinic in Lexington Ky:

How is this vet clinic different from any other vet clinic in Lexington KY?

We are located on the campus of Fayette County Public School’s  AgriScience Center, and allow students to observe and learn from our doctors and staff. Our vet clinic is the first-ever animal hospital located where students with an interest in veterinary medicine are mentored by professionals and are a part of the vet clinic’s daily functions.

Will I be going in a school with my pet?

Nope.  This particular Vet Clinic in Lexington KY is adjacent to the school but clients and their pets will enter our spacious lobby through the exclusive vet clinic entrance.  You’ll also find ample parking on a beautiful campus filled with animal lovers of all ages.

Will students be providing animal care or observing during my visit?

While our vet clinic in Lexington Ky is the first veterinary clinic to have a secondary purpose of educating students in the fields of veterinary science, our primary purpose is providing excellent care to our patients.  Only experienced Lexington veterinarians and trained vet techs will be providing medical care.  Students will be allowed to observe and learn basic training techniques, and can apply and interview for an after school internship.

What are the benefits of coming to this vet clinic in Lexington Ky?

Our vet clinic is the first of it’s kind in a beautiful, state-of-the-art facility. Not only will you be supporting the environment, but you will also help support our Fayette County Public School students by allowing them to learn from us while we take great care of your pet. You are playing a valuable role in their education when you bring your pets into Locust Trace Vet Clinic.  Our costs are affordable and reasonable for all families and we offer  several methods of payment.  Did we mention a 10% discount for all FCPS staff, teachers, students, and parents?

You are not open on Saturdays?

Not at this time. We are the only vet clinic in Lexington Ky located on a school campus and thus have limited hours during the week, but we are worth the trip! Our student interns would not be able to observe and learn the importance of proper veterinary care and we don’t want you to miss your opportunity to meet them! You are just as important as the patients we care for in the vet clinic because they want to learn what pet owners expect of quality veterinary care.  So please call to schedule your pet an appointment today at your favorite vet clinic in Lexington Ky, 859-225-0303!

If you are in a school, is this vet clinic in Lexington Ky open during the summer?

Yes! Our normal business hours are open year round with the exception of national holidays. We are open during school record days, snow days, and any scheduled break in the school semester. Please come and visit us any time that we are available to meet your needs!
